VTEC not kicking in Major help*******
i just finished my car and vtec is not kicking in i removed the oil jack out of my d15b7 and wired my three wires (one is for oil pressure and the other is for vtec and last one is ground which i ground to the starters ground too...) need help to get my vtec kicking....
then search a how to for that, they're everywhere. Google mini-me and you'll get 1000 sites with either the mini setup or austin powers.
There's nothing anyone can say to help you, if you say you removed the oil jets from the b15 block, and did the wiring properly, then you're just going to have to recheck your work. Maybe you have the wrong computer you need the d16z6 computer, or maybe your vtec solonoid is no good, or maybe you have no oil pressure. It can be a lot of things and without the car in front of you you can't check all these things.

Damn dude your confusing the hell outta me with you rambling. Try using proper grammar please!
First off how do you know it's not working? VTEC on a SOHC isn't like a B Series where you can noticably hear and feel it kick in.
How are you trying to wire it in? Just re-pinning the ECU plugs? No it doesn't need a relay. Double check your wiring, and then check it again. Be sure to solder the connections rather than use tape.

Say what? Not entirely sure I understand what your saying... ok I don't understand what your saying. But I promise you that your VTEC does not engage until 4200r's unless you have an controller installed and have it set to a lower RPM.
Heres something you can do... without frying anything, get a wire schematic for your ECU, find the lead from the ECU to the VTEC selonoid, tap in a LED (radio shack, make sure its 12v) light into the wire coming from the ECU right at the selonoid, then run the light inside to where you can see it while driving. Now when your driving and VTEC engages the light will light up. If it doesn't then you either have a bad ECU or bad wiring.
Now, incase you didn't know, VTEC does not engage unless you are moving, so testing it while sitting still will not work.
