hey guys im helping a friend work on a b18c1 in a civic it has turbonics turbo kit the boost gaudge shows -20 psi at a idle!!! wtf is with that and at full spool turbo is only getting to about 2psi. the boost gaudge has a spliter off the fpr. the spring in the wastegate is a 8lb why is it sitting at -20psi at idle ??? any help would be awesome

when you say -20, i'm assuming you are refering to vacuum and not boost. 20"lbs of vacuum is normal at idle. As for why it only shows 2lbs of boost, that could be a little more complicated. It could be you are leaking boost, you don't have a good connection at the fitting, etc.
that sounds normal for the idle. however for 2psi doesnt sound too good for full boost unless he has it set that way. check for boost leaks and try hooking up the boost gauge by itself so you dont have to T into anything.

my eclipse was idleing at a steady -18 and now the galant is at -16.

all my friends turbo cars are at -20 at idel. but did u have stock boost gauge on ur supra and eclipse? because i remember on my friends talon it showed the boost gauge only going from -7 to 0 to +7 .
