95 Civic DX swap or turbo?

I have a 95 DX coupe (D15B7) i was wondering if i should swap the engine or turbo/supercharge it? If i should swap what engine should i swap it with or if i turbo/supercharge what internals do i need to fix up?

Not really with a small turbo with less than 7 psi. A small turbo could be found on ebay or in a salvage yard off an Eclipse/Talon or Saab or VW. For small ones you almost have to do it custom piece by piece.

Depends on your connections and where you find parts. No one can say for sure what you will spend. I've seen some setups go for around 1000. Some around 2000. If you are going to do turbo don't cut corners, do it right. Search the FAQ and you will find what you need to learn about turbo setups. There are write ups on what is needed and so on.

Good luck!

Look for a t25, t28 or t3. I listed those from smallest to largest. IMO a t25 would be perfect for a fun daily driven little 1.5L.

It all depends on how much you wanna spend... you could prolly put together a kit that would work just fine but look kinda ghetto for 5-600 bucks...HF, manifold, t25, 1g bov and sidemount intercooler and some flex radiator hose and your set! Otherwise you could spend a little more and get a decent front mount and get actually hard pipes for charge pipes ect... it can be done for cheap as hell tho! Just gotta take your time to look for deals I just sold my setup for 650.

6psi on that setup was pretty damn fun! Time to start over and make some real power now though!

Damn, man. That's what i'm talkin about. 650 bucks for a turbo kit, thats as cheap as a nitrous system.
