Adjust internal wastegate?

I'm looking inot buying a turbo and I keep finding them with internal wastegates. I want to know how to control the boost on an internal wastegate or do I have to buy a turbo w/o a wastegate and get like a tial one or something? Am I limited to the amount of boost the internal wastegate can handle or can I get more boost from that turbo.

XLR8 GS-R is an unknown quantity at this point
You can adjust internal's

Its just more of a bitch..lol. The performance of an internal wastegate isnt as good as an external. Because the exhaust gases dont even see te turbo compressor on an external wg. If you want to adjust an internal wg, basically its the same thing as an external, change the spring, or buy a boost controller

how much u looking to spend on a turbo??? to change the boost buy a boost controller. But if u happen to by a turbo from a eclipse or something, the lowest you can go is what the wastgate is set at. so if it is set a 12 lbs that is the lowest you can go with a boost controller. but you can raise it if u want. Most internally wastgated turbo's tend to be smaller which results in quicker spool time but less top end power. What is this turbo set up goin to be used for?? Street only, street/track, or track car???

mostly street with a little bit of track time thrown in on the side. This set up is for my stock '98 LS I just got (Damn I love my car). I want to run 6lbs daily and then be able to crank it up to 8-10lbs when I think it's time to show someone who's boss.....lol.

Since I'm on a budget, will I be able to get my results with a turbo from a saab or ford then add a boost controller to my setup? It sounds like from what I've found is that you get what you pay for but when you're on a budget you try to do the best you can. I was thinking of buying a used turbo with an internal wg and then get a boost controller but I want to make sure that this is the best way I can go with my small budget ($1700 including turbo set up w/ IC, BOV, boost controller, 255lph fuell pump and bigger injectors).
Is there anything else that I should maybe look at or am I good to go.
Thanks
