air filter with turbo motor?

i have noticed that with alot of the pictures taht i see of people's turbo setups that most people dont have any type of air filter on the turbo or coming from the turbo. just wondering if anyone does run a filter, and why people choose not to run one.

I run a filther on mine ........if u dont run one debris can damage ur turbo. Not worth it for the little that u gain.

simple...they don't use one because the filter not only blocks dirt/whatever from entering your system but it also limits the air that can flow. Personally I run a filter, not worth the minute gain.

I don't run a filter simply because I havent bought the airfilter that I want on my car yet. Its been about a year now, car is doing good. Just screen and some panty hose and there you go. Oh, it runs low 13s with a homemade turbo kit. haha :clap

i didnt run a filter until i got the T67. i never really had the room or made the effort for a filter. so i ran a screen . never had any probs.

With my new setup.....i have absolutely no room for a filther! Where do u guys get these screens from??

Is there a better quality air filter on the market like a K&N, something that allows more air to pass?

Is a short ram intake the best setup for a turbo, or is there not enough room?

im just running a screen too without any problems so far. i actually took my filter off. i didnt fell a difference.....

i cut up a screen door my mom had laying around their garage , lol. i dont think she even knows i did that yet. lol

doing a custom cold air set up is best though

Thats what i think ill be doing as soon i get my battery relocation kit.
