Alarm System and Timer Compatability

i installed my alarmsystem myself.. It's one of them Prestige alarm systems. If i get the timer, will the timer bypass the alarm until engine shutdown and the alarm sets? Or do i have to wait for a couple of minutes and then set the alarm??? which i think would suck if u'r in a hurry

I dont know about that alarm, but some alarms come with tt function that'll arm it when the car shuts off. Check your manual.
