You don't really have to have it. I have done it 3 or 4 times in a pinch with no alignment tool. Just have to get it centered with your finger before tightening the pressure plate down. good luck.
WARNING: Do not leave finger in hole while trying to line up input shaft. This could result in loss of fingers or life. Or could cause explosive bloody diarehea! (Spelling)
Also not for use with some other parts of the body such as Achilles tendon, brain stem, and liver, Oh! and most importantly the taint!

Yeah, but what's spending $2 on a tool to do everything correctly? I have always been the guy who does everything "by the book", i.e. not cutting corners anywhere...
I've always put clutches in with an alignent tool and have never once had a problem with them.....don't want to have to take the tranny off again just because I didn't want to spend $2 on a tool...that is how stuff starts going wrong, cutting corners.
C'mon people, if you are going to do something yourself, do it right the first time.

OK you have no idea what your talking about beacuse you would NEVER be able to put the tranny on if the clutch was not aligned correctly hence you can line it up with your finger or dick or whatever you want to do it with. (My dick would never fit though)
If the tranny goes on it's aligned period.
Some people are poor and don't want to buy an alignment tool. I am not just sometimes I don't want to drive to the store while I'm in the middle of working on a car.

Hey man, chill, I'm just saying spending $2 on a tool doesn't hurt, and when you start cutting corners when you are working on your car that's when stuff starts going wrong....and it usually happens when you start substituting the right tools for something else.
Don't tell me I don't know what I'm talking about, I have replaced plenty B-series AND D-series clutches and transmissions out.

Das cool. I'm not saying it can't be done without one, because it can...I'm just saying having the proper tools is always good, and makes everything easier, especially when the tool is that cheap.
Anways It's all good....
Anyone know the cheapest price for a Centerforce Dual-Friction for my car? Cheapest I found was like $260 shipped so far.
