Any ideas w/ intake on turbo? Tight fit up front....(install done, car running!!)

Well the turbo install is done, and I ended up doing timing belt/water pump too' (scared to see my bill) but they just have to figure out/build a custom cold air intake/regular intake the RH kit doesn't come w/ anything intake wise...

What did ya guys do? Any tips? Such a tight squezze as is up front..

I plan on racing @ 7psi this weekend ( for some odd reason only saying 5psi when Tial wastegate was supposed to be 7psi and is marked 7psi w/ marker' who knows? But gonna hook up a turboXS boost controller, tuner said new clutch and everything seemed smooth and ready.

Keep ya posted w/ et's and such'

Mark

yea id like to know how to fit an intake too. i had a drag gen3 turbo kit installed on a b20 in my 95 hatch. its a preety tight squeeze by the turbo and my radiator/fan. People told me a thinner fan. i dont know where to find a cheap one of those...

Just go to your local auto parts store. I got mine at Auto Zone, they had them in stock. The 12" slimline fans were like 60 bucks each. I really like them a lot, they move a lot of air and fit nicely when mounted as push fans.

rather than wasting money making pipes, i would just put the filter right on the turbo.

That's exactly what I did, although there is a lot of hot air coming off the radiator.

Unless I switch to a tiny filter there is no room!!! Really tight up-front w/ my kit/car.

Hope to get pics soon, yeah mine is right behind the radiator' damn hot air intakes !!!! Gonna change here soon'

why does it matter when the air is just gonna get heated back up and then cooled?

air/air Intercoolers are at most 80% efficent. Lower intake air temps will directly result in a lower charge temp...period.

true... air being sucked into the turbo... the turbo is hot... what does it matter if the air is cold or not going into the turbo

It is going to increase the air temp a certain percentage. The lower base temperature, the lower output temperature. I agree, it wouldn't make a considerable differance, but ideal is the coldest air possible. If you are going to do it...do it right.

no need

i dont have one. the turbo just sucks up the air and sends it through the intercooler right into the manifold
