B18C1 vs. H22A for Max Boost

Which stock engine can handle more boost? Thanks for all replies in advance.

if both have exact same condition and variables (i.e engine management and tuner), i would say B.

B18C. H22 does not like boost.

stock for stock, the b series will take more boost. The h's downfall is its soft sleeves. But that isn't to say that the h won't make more power at the same boost level as the b, because it should and will. But why do you ask which stock engine can handle the most boost? If you're trying to run the maximum horsepower a stock engine can handle, its not going to last long anyway. And if you were serious about running crazy horsepower and high boost, you wouldn't be asking this anyway.

I am serious about running major boost. I am getting my block sleeved and forged pistons. I was deciding if I should go with the h22a in my civic or the b18c1. I eventually decided to just go with the b18c1 because the h22a might just be overkill for my first race build. Money isn't an issue so the customization to drop in the h22a wouldn't have been a problem either. Hopefully the b18c1 holds up well =D Peace and thanks for input everyone.

well if you're getting it sleeved anyway, go with the h22 then. as gay and cliche as it is.... there's no replacement for displacement
