tech wrench Basic Questions/Opinions

alright guys ive been debating on turboing my car for the longest tiem and come spring time i am planning on it if things go swell. however i i got a stock untouched b16a with few miles on it....i just wanted to set up dsm shit, the 1 g setp (t3) w/lower boost instead of a 2.5 and higher boost, which would be bad bc of the higher compression ratio in the 1 6. i was wondering how safe off would i be running 7 or 8 pounds of boost on a stock motor?

as long as ur compression is good, and you get a good tune then there should be no probs

make sure the engine is healthy first of all by doing compression and leakdown tests. if those come out good, boost away.

you can easily make 300whp on the stock internals with a good tune.
