Best BOV for custom turbos

Alrighty.. I don't want parts from another car, etc etc. cheap DSM parts or whatever. I am looking for a BOV for a t3/t4 custom turbo setup. I am piecing it out bit by bit, but I need to find a good BOV that is LOUD and does it's job (performance wise). I appreciate the help!! Thanks!

I'm also building a custom setup, my big question with BOV is how do I attach them to homemade charge pipes? Someone told me just to get a circular saw and some JB weld and just go nuts? Big question is how do I know what size hole to drill in my charge pipe? And will JB Weld hold the pressure from that part of the pipe?

I've had bad luck with JB weld in the past on such applications on intake piping, which isn't under as much stress as a turbo charge pipe. Mig welding is best for such an application. Also you can machine your own charge pipes using the right tools, such as I believe 1 1/4in hole saw, depends really on the BOV.

About the BOV, really, I want something that is a good compromise for both Sound and performance. I have been told to get a Blitz Super sound?, but do those fit on Civics? I have seen them for RX7's and WRX's but not so much the civics. Also was told that Greddy makes a good one as well. Any ideas??

i liked my HKS also , but the TIAL like i said is the best on the market now. Greddy is ok too .

you need to have the flange welded on the pipes. jb weld might hold, but its a pin in the as swhy not do it right.

can you point me in the direction of where i can find a TIAL BOV to check out for my civic. I am guessing I need to find a universal BOV? It's for a 91 civic (w turbo'd ZC)

Well yes the HKS is loud but I'm not a big fan of it. I would go with a Apex-I twin chamber BOV. You can adjust the sound on it and it was a dual chamber to blow off. Works great and is the best one so far on my car.

I'm very impressed with my HKS SSQV, doesn't bog like some of the spring type BOV's do. It's a little more, but you get what you pay for.

ive had an hks racing bov and i currently have an hks ssqv.
i like the ssqv better, aside from the shitty spring that hks manufactured.
the spring that comes with the bov is way too strong for the bov. i removed my spring.
but it sounds great

if you want the best of both worlds (loud and quality) just do what i did for fun one day last summer.
i went to ruckers and got one of thoes shitty plastic prizes that makes a zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing sound with a ball bearing in the whistle.
i just duct taped i to my hks bov. it lasted about one run at 7psi.
and it sounded reeeally funny, even little girls that were driving their bikes on the sidewalk stopped to see what was wrong with my car.
