Talking Best Compression for Turbocharging a B series motor?

I have a 2000 GSR B18C Engine and was planning on dropping a turbo kit. If i want to maximize my power output and reliability, what would be the best compression to shoot for by changing the pistons for a turbo setup? Thanks for the help guys.

I personally like a little higher compression...like 9.5:1...a lot of people prefer a little lower like 9:1 or even 8.5:1....the higher the compression, the more power at the same boost level. The lower, the safer...less detonation, more room for error, etc.

I agree.I wouldn't go any lower then 9.0:1 but 9.5:1 would be better. This is just my oppinion and im sure others will have theirs. If you have good enough tuning there is no need to lower you compression to lowor at all.i'm runing 10.2:1 with about 8psi and ok tuning.
