Question Best enigne to turbo for a hatch and what turbo kit???

I want to get a hatch and then put a turbo kit in it. I wanna know what engine to get for the hatch, what build up parts do I need for internals and so on. I will be going to japan. That is where I will be picking these things up form. I just want a lot of power with very minimul lag. I would like to be able to attain mid 12 if possible. Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Well if you can get your hands on it the b18c5 ( type R) its a great motor. With a turbo it is all up to the cash you have. Drag is a good turbo but it will put a dent in your bank. The Greddy is also good, yes the turbo is smaller but it take less time to spool up but it doesnt come with a intercooler. So check out the market and have at her.

depends on whether u want more low end, more high end, or medium all around... for medium all around go for an ls engine(just forgot the code) and get a larger turbo with perhaps ball bearings and ceramic fan.. that will reduce lag and the ls has good torque all the way through (obviously it has more up top but not as much as vtech will produce)... if u want more high end power do a gsr or type r (b18c1 and c5) and do the same with the turbo, but u will get all the power up high unless u get a smaller diameter turbo, which would probably be fine because the type r already goes 155 so u really dont need more top speed.. u need more acceleration... im sure an h22 is along the same lines as the type r.... just my opinions. (make sure u get a pipe instead of a cat too.. the more exhaust the better, esspecially if u have a bigger diameter turbo.. it greatly reduces lag and makes it more powerful up high)

If ur gonna be in japan, pick up a type R motor.. sell that bitch for way more then its worth when u come back to the states.. pick up an LS motor and send it off to be sleeved, get forged pistons/rods and a standalone.. boost about 20psi on race gas and run mid 11's. of course, make sure u get a turbo no smaller then a T3/T04e..

Just messing with you bro..that's one way you can go...you can make "ANY" motor a 12 second motor. Just let us know how much you will to spend. That's the best way to determine which route is best for you.

Oh and if you can try and get us some information, like an email address or forms, on shops up there that will be willing to sell used honda motors overseas to the US. I think that's what we all are curious about.. Thanks man and good luch whichever route you choose

I'll look around and see if I can find some shops for you.:
Anyway I am willing to spend about ^ or $7000 for engine mods. Whatever engine I decide to get i will get while I'm over there. It will be cheaper. I'm also gonna get my parts over there too. I think that I will get a type R engine just to sell it over here for more than I payed for it over there. I will probably buy 2 or 3 engines and make a nice hefty profit . Anyways i still don't know what engine for the hatch. thanks for the advice though man.
