you're not serious with the vtak right? the d16z6 would be better for boost in my opinion-- greater displacement and a more performance built engine would yield more hp with turbo

Why waste your time building a d-series for boost when u can getter better performance and power from a b-series...when u boost a d-series at 8 psi its barely at 200whp....if u do the same with b-series most are above 300whp

Because boosting a D series is much cheaper. You can rig together a very nice turbo kit for about 600-1000 bucks and get 180-200 whp.

If you swap a B in the turbo kit will be more expensive because you'll need a bigger turbo...not to mention the cost of the B-series engine swap.

To answer the posters original question...if it were me...I'd get the d15b vtec. It has a great R/S ratio and pulls damn hard up top...so if you were to get say a 14b and slap it on I bet it would be pretty quick.

Also you can get d15b swaps with LSD transmissions....which will help a lot.
