and why 50, thats pretty high even for race apps on a 4 banger but i guess you can afford the thousands of dollars put toward the turbo, intercooler,BOV and/or wastegates , oil coolers, injectors(would most likely use more than 4), stand alone ems, stronger axles, fully rebuilt suspension, FULLY rebuilt motor, and the list goes on..
and theres plenty of cars that run hi 9s low 10s boosting around 30 psi..but they know what their doing
but hey if you wanna go 50 go ahead jus romp on it and weld your wastegate shut and pray your pistons last past 20psi and if you make well your a lucky fellow, doubt the turbo will though...bearings are for squares!!!
If you want to run some single digit passes you need to look much past the turbo, but to answer your question:
GT42R is the best bet. You dont NEED a 2.2 as mentioned. There are many 2L engines pushing 40+ psi with huge turbos like the 42R, but they run a redline of 9800+rpms to have a useable power band.
I run a GT42 on my car, but it's a 2.5 L. Also, you can look at the GT40R as it can properl a car into the 9's with enough setup.

Good Luck.
hell i still say if he had the $ he claimed to have, throw a Chevy ls motor in it and make it RWD
good luck with the build you have a steep learning curve ahead of you if you think 40psi = 9's. you have a track goal so thats something to work from i guess. you need to give more info about the car and setup. what engine im guessing h22, and what chassis are you going to be using. more than likely like said above a gt42r will be a good turbo to achieve your goals but without more info who really knows.
