Block Building for boost

I am planning on building another LS/Vtec block to handle turbo use. I have a set of JE part # 149230 pistons to go with a GE Godzilla sleeved B18B block. My big question is that I have heard of people mixing and matching cranks and rods. Can I put a set of Pauter B16 rods with a different crank and have the engine work well and make good power? I currently have a couple LS/B20 cranks and B17 crank lying around. Does anyone know what the power/boost limit is on JE/SRP pistons? I want some input before I try to put anything together. I have built an LS/VTEC before and it worked well with the stock bottom end parts, but it couldn't handle the boost I put on it.

If you use the ls crank you will need to use ls rods, or rods the same length. The ls rods are shorter..
I believe the b18c and b16a rods are different length's but the cranks are the same...(someone correct me if i'm wrong)...I believe gsr rods are longer then the b16 rods...
I would just go with the ls crank and rods....Most of the crank swaps is the ls crank/rods in a b18c block.

LS crank with aftermarket ls spec rods you'd make the most torque, Aftermarket rod bolts and crank main bolts and you will have a pretty decent bottom end. If you have the bearings clearanced and put in by someone who knows what they're doing (not saying that you don't) Thats a damn decent bottom end. I'd say a few hundred HP. I don't feel like looking up that part # but if its a dished piston it'd be best. Its not really how much HP those pistons can handle, its how much can your bottom end take. With that combo I mentioned above, it would take quite abit of abuse.
