greddy profec A.... profrec A is the worst boost controller you can buy on the face of this planet. The boost spike is so horrible. If you plan on boosting about 16 psi, it will go up to about 24 under full acceleration, then go back down to 16. I'll post a graph for you proving that.

If you want an electronic boost controller, get the profect B, its the best money can buy. ABout 350 bucks.

If you jsut want to be able to go between two preset boost levels, and have it be easy on your wallet, i suggest teh turbo XS dual stage boost controller. It's just 2 manual boost controllers that you can preset to any level. From inside the car, you can alternate between the 2 boost levels via a red cover switch.

hope i helped.

If you have an accurate boost gauge a manual boost controller can cost you around 5 dollars to make and as long as you pay attention to how much you boost you should be ok.

home made manual boost controlers use a ball bearing with a spring on it, under heavy boost (10 or more) you get boost creep.

Boost creep

lets say you set your designated boost to 15 psi. Under acceleration, your wastegate cannot expell enough exhaust gasses away and you end up getting more than your desired boostpressure, then it goes down to your designated pressure, about 1 or 2 seconds later sometimes resulting in detonation or other disasterous things that damage your engine.
