Boost creepin

whats up guys ? well ive noticed today my car is hitting 7-8psi now..and im supposidly running stock at 5.5psi..i guess its the 2.5" upgrade exhaust piping and that i have an internal wastegate..internal wastegates need backpressure to function properly right? to tell you the truth i dont mind the extra 2 lbs of boost..feels kinda good actually..hehe floored it up a ramp to the highway and she pulled hard. my question is..can my motor handle 8psi stock ? it doesnt stay at 8 psi..the needle fluctuates between 6 and 8..and today was a nice cool day..it wasnt doing that on hotter days..i should just get a fuel psi regulator and i should be straight right ?

yeah....just put a little bit of pressure on it and see if it leaks down or whatever.....if it doesn, then it will only get worse....eventually, you'll be boosting whatever the turbo setup can make, which means BOOM
