boosting a b18a

i want to boost this b18a im putting together im going to use eagle rods and just buy 600cc. injectors and a 255lph fuel pump and i have the safc controller but i should be able to run the revs past 7 grand right with the rods i mean it would be a stock head for alittle while but if i hit the rev limiter it should be alright?

i wouldnt go with 600cc injectors you can pick up dsm 350 injectors for less money and they will do just fine ofr about 12-14psi. With stock cams and stock springs i wouldnt take it past 6500 with a cam i wouldnt take it past 7000 with cams, springs and titanium retainers i wouldnt push it past 8500 just to be safe.

It's not safe to rev high on a stock head because if you go to high you will get valve float which is not good at all

okay well i was thinking that i wouldnt rev it past 6500 anyways but i am fully building the motor just i dont have the money for cams and shit so i should still buy the bigger injectors if i am gunna build it fully right? im just not getting sleeves with this motor im gunna get them with the next block i build.

600cc seems like it would be to much. You do need the fuel pump and you do need a larger injector. But it depends on how much boost you want to buy. The more boost the more fuel that needs to get delivered to your motor.

You can try takeing your stock head too 7000 but i wouldnt advise anymore untill you get a larger cam and then get springs.

a fully built motor with cams and springs at 10psi with 350cc injectors will run like a raped date.

Also you wont get the full potentual of your car until you chip and tune your ecu.

Just as a quick note, Stock profiled cams work VERY well for turbo'd applications. Somthing with valve overlap is desireable. Get cams that are too lumpy and turbo response goes in the toilet. What is wrong with revving on a stock cam? Just get some new springs or some stiffer springs to help control the the valves at higher RPMS. It is WAY more important to have new springs first - you put a higher lift/duration cam on weak springs and you have a timebomb waiting to go off. Have you ever dropped a valve? It gets expensive QUICK. If you do get different cams, Make sure that your springs - whatever you have - are not going to bind with the extra lift being provided.
