Boosting a GSR
so since im looking to swap into my teg a gsr engine. i am wandering what type of numbers i am looking at getting with a stock motor. I have heard around 220-230, but i want some other peoples opinions on numbers. is it safe to do it on a stock motor and not a built one? please enlighten me!

we typically tune a stock gsr motor to 300-325whp safely.

i made 500hp outta my bone stock gsr motor i used a shit ton of fuel and a nice standalone computer and i boosted the same motor for over a year like that its all in the tune

Stock numbers for a B18C1? 185fwhp, 120ish torque, and your best bet is to go to full-race.com and check out the prostreet stage 2 kit... They have examples there of what it does.

stock whp on an n/a b18c1 is 185whp?!...try 145-150whp and if you're talking boosted that's still pathetic. even at low boost they should put don 220whp

Hi i got a GSR aswel the spec is as follows 170BHP 135 Torque 0-60 7.8 unless you have it in a different shell. I want a turbokit for my GSR aswel looking at the Greddy turbo kit is this good? its a direct bolt on will i need to lower compression also would i need anything else to run this kit properly. or is it ok as it is? heellllllpppp

greddy turbo kit is ok. as stated i prefer to make my own. not it's not a direct bolt-on. your compression ratio is dependent on hte type of turbo and how much boost you plan on running. you still need some form of ems

it comes with ems, only planning to run low boost atm as i aint got the dough to tune my bottom end, i got aload of skun2 mods like cams camgears, inlet mani, fuel pressure reg fuel rail will the turbo kit still work effeciently even tho they based on stock engines?
