check out my boost controller ------>>

yeah, thats right guys, first it was that ebay bought ghetto rigged boost controller for 10$........ but now i got the king of manual boost controllers.

its not a namebrand controller, and only costs 25$ USD, im not sure where you buy them, cause i didn't ask the guy that sold it to me, but its not specifically for turbos, it just works perfect.

its super sensitive, and has about 100 or so different levels of intensity, and the top piece locks down so that it cant be changed if its bumped. (almost child proof)

its made to be mounted in the cockpit, and thats what i plan on doing, just as soon as i work some problems out with my turbo.......

but here are some pics of the beast... if you have any questions about it or if you know where they can be bought feel free to ask/share.

(sorry bout the blurr on the last one, my cam batteries were dead.)

if anyone is interested in knowing what the guts of it look like, i can take shots of how the thing works....

That is a varible air pressure regulator. It only allows a measurable amount of air pressure to bypass. You can buy one at just about anyplace that sells air compressors.

It works like any other type on regulator. The spring that you see in there puts pressure against a diaphram. When enough pressure builds up behind the diaphram it compresses the spring, and air bypasses the diaphram. The adjustment on top puts more pressure against the diaphram, which in turn requires more air pressure to compress the spring and bypass the diaphram.

Not that it matters cause its just air but I would be interested to know. Have you fixed the problem yet w/ your turbo?\

Blaze

yeah, it will extend the vacuum/boost lines from the wastegate into the cockpit where the controller will be.
and no i havent fixed her up quite yet, i tested the wastegate, and it opens fine and closes fine, so i took off all the vacuum lines on it and it still wasn't boosting more than 4psi. so tomorrow im gonna take my downpipe off and see if the exhaust oulet is fully closed when the wastegate is closed.
