custom, fmax, or drag
the time is coming (very soon) when i have to purchase my turbo. i want something that'll work well on my daily driver and have good upgrade potential.
should i just go custom, or would a kit work best for me. about how much could i custom a turbo (T3/T04)?
also, i want something thats going to be relatively low maintainance...should i go with a supercharger instead?
what internals do i need to build for high boost (i wanna be around 300 or so hp)?
lastly, i'm curious to know under about how much boost my auto tranny will hold up and what mods i need to do to bolster it for higher boost.

i like revhard and fmax..im running a revhard kit and my friend is running the fmax on his h23 prelude, both kits work very well. Custom turbo kits are great but they can get very pricey...it basically comes down to how much money you want to invest and how much time you want to spend on it. I hear auto trannys hold up *somewhat* well....i think there are a few people on the board with turbo auto's that can answer that better...as for internals...forged pistons, rods, and maybe sleeves would be a good investment if you want to run high boost..however, i dont know for sure if the auto tranny will hold up to that much hp.
I don't think any company out there have a turbo kit or supercharger for 99 accord yet... So your only option left is a custom turbo kit... Auto tranny with high boost is not good at all.. When i first had the turbo in my prelude... The Automatic tranny shifted the gear up all the time when the turbo kicked in....You can always upgrade your tranny to hold the extra hp or swap a 5sp..
