This is definitely a newbie question, but the search function wasn't working sooo please bear with me.
Just sold my 97 turboed Eclipse that was non-turbo, so I have a pretty good understanding on the concepts of turbocharging.
My question is: If a turbo kit is for the B16a motor, would it fit on a Integra LS (I believe it's the b18b) or GSR motor (b18c)
It's because in the ads and auctions for these turbo kits, they say will "fit most B series motors with modification" meaning exactly what?? what do I have to do to make it fit?
I'm at a crossroad right now, my car is being picked up the 4th of July weekend and I need a new car! Looking at the integs, and the new celicas (If I get the celica it is staying stock BTW, gotta keep the warranty)
However there is a 94 GSR near me for 7500 with 120 K on it for 7500?? Not a good deal but I'm sure I can lower it
I'm really looking for an LS or (SE) LS with the leather and turboing it, oh well, any help would be helpful. Thanks in advance
Just thought of a few more questions for the HOnda Turbo Gurus out there, this is assuming I find an LS, if I found a gsr I would just leave it the way it is
1. Most kits I see out there for the B series are using the t3.t4 hybrid turbo, I'm looking for a smaller turbo for off the line, I dont' really care for the lagginess of the hybrid turbos. any kit in particular that stands out?
2. I was quoted 2600 for a non-intercooled greddy kit but it came with everything including injectors
Now some kits I see injectors are optional, are the stock injectors unsuffiecient for the turbo set-up?

a turbo for the b16a would fit on the b18b and b18c1 if you change the manifold and uses some different piping
for fast boost, the greddy kit is good. it uses a small turbo.
For low boost levels, you can keep your stock injectors from the integra if you use a fuel management unit and upgraded fuel pump
hey IntegraTypeRice, would you take the greddy kit over the drag III kit?.......i'm gettin a kit soon, but don't know which one to get......i'm leaning more to the greddy because it says all you have to do is check for oil leak, get a compression test, and check for clutch wear and you can keep your stock internals if you tune it......if i get the greddy kit can i upgrade the turbo with a bigger one without changing the piping?.......is it easy to upgrade?
The local tuner shop here just told me that any b series turbo kit will fit on any b series motor, regardless if it's a b16a turbo kit that's going on the b18b, anybody wanna verify this for me?

greddy is good if you want to keep it street legal so you can pass smog. Just show than the carb slip. greddy runs lower boost than drag III and the power difference between the two are noticeable. greddy will spool faster because TD05H-18G is a smaller turbo. As for using the greddy kit, you can upgrade the turbo with minimal changes to the piping if any depending on your application you want but once you upgrade the turbo, the fuel system might not be enough to keep up with it. If you do plan on upgrading the turbo, then just go with drag III kit. You won't regret it.

is there kit custom, if it's custom, then they can make a kit that fits your application but if it isn't custom like greddy, f-max, rev hard, drag....etc, then it's not true. If you swapped a b18c1 into a civic hatchback, you cannot buy the drag kit for the gsr and put it into the civic without modifications to the piping. On the other hand, if you take out the motor and put a turbo on it, then you can use the same kit but when it comes to applying it to the car itself, it's not the same. A b16a turbo kit will go onto the b18b with minor modifications
