diy turbo filter

Just wanted to know if anyone with a home-made turbo filter could post pics/how-to-make instructions.

i know people talk about running just screens and stuff on their turbo, but i was thinking, what if you took an old cone you don't use anymore and clean it, then figure out how much u need and cut it so you have a disc, now you have 2 pieces of metal screen with a filter element sandwhiched in between. Am i the only person who's thought of this?

I've seen the DIY intake kits. I was just gonna find a KN cone and then fabricate my own intake using that as an airfilter. Use a peice of the rubber and some T-clamps to attach it up.

Find an exhaust shop to make you a mandrel bent pipe and slap on a filter.

thanx for all of the help guys i'll look into it. My only problem is that my fan sticks out too much for me to get a pipe on the inlet side of my turbo, so it makes it hard to get anthing big on to it. I can post pics if needed.

I had the same problem. Go to a junkyard and pull the smaller fan that's on the drivers side out of another car and replace the big fan with that. You'll have to Drill a new mounting hole and make a little bracket, but the harness hooks right up. I'll post a picture of mine as soon as I get a chance. -JP
