1 O.G teg is an unknown quantity at this point
driving a ls out of boost

were do you guys set your boot to kick in . and if i drive out of boost most of the time will i be just as safe as my motor was befor the turbo.I.E for daly driving

the only way to change when the boost kicks in is by swapping in a different turbo.
its not nitrous, its turbo.
and if your not boosting it will be just as safe as if your car wasn't turbocharged.

Yeah, BoostedRex got it.

About the only way to actually change *when* the boost comes on without messing with the turbo is with a really expensive staged boost controller like the one from Innovative Turbo Systems.

There is a simple way to make the boost come in later, but there is no reason really to do so....all you have to do is connect an electronically-activated air control solenoid valve (like used on the probe turbos ewww) to something that will create at least the amount of pressure that your wastegate is set at (some type of pump), and connect it to a "T" on your wastegate actuator...that way you can connect a MSD rpm-activated switch up to the solenoid to where the solenoid would only close when it reaches a specified RPM, that way the "flapper-door" part of the turbo will be open until the RPM-activated switch closes the solenoid, then you will start boosting.

Just an educated thought, LoL...I like to invent things, can you tell
