EGT,,,,what's good?

Wanted some info on EGT readings. I have a 92 civic si hb with the apexi turbo kit, @ 6psi what is a safe temp. (not too rich or not too lean) should I be seeing? I have my sensor mouted in the exhaust manifold and my EGT currently hits 760 Degrees Celsius. Is that too cold or too hot?

i think on most aluminum engines, 850 c. and up is not good, things start to melt! If you get that high, back off the throttle and wait for egt's to drop

Shit, I thought you were good to 1200. I am glad this post is here. I am putting my turbo on in about 2 weeks. All my parts are in the mail.

CanuckSol, 1200 is good if it's farenheight...... 1200 degrees Farenheight is equal to 648.89 degrees celsius.
