i wouldn't look into those gimmicks. 90% of the time or about 90%, they don't work. if you want power, you'll have to do it right way. power cost money, the more money you spend, the more power you can gain. i don't even know where this thing suppose to be mounted on. it looks good for display though

You'd know from my other posts, that I laugh at the other electric super chargers advertised, showing using maths, how they actually restrict flow at high RPM, when you actually want extra air.

I found one that claims to pump 750CFM, and use 700watts of electricity to do it. To my math's that's starting to sound kosher. A fan that can move that much air will use that much power, and will actually do something for the engine.

If you think about it this way, 750CFM is about 20 cubic metres of air. A 2.0L engine requires about 1 cubic metre of air per 1000rpm. So at 9000rpm (redline) you need 9 cubic litres. That means you are trying to stuff double the amount of air into the engine.

Now, you aren't actually going to be able to do that, because I suspect the torque on the fan is going to mean that excessive backpressure will severely lower that number of 750cfm, but what if you could actually force even 10% more air into the engine? That's still a few horsepower gain.

Unfortunately a unit llike that costs about $700. There are bigger gains to be gotten for $700. I think maybe it's only for NA people who have squeezed every other last horse from their engine.
