which flywheel should i get for my b18b1 into crx swap? i will be boosting 8psi...i'm not sure if i should get an aluminum one because i've heard that they arent as good as ones made out of other metal....also, how heavy should it be? i always thought the lighter the better, but i've heard that the flywheel can break if it is too light. thanks alot for the help
Yeah the chromoly racing flywheel i mentioned is made by Toda. I have it in my GSR right now and i love it. Revs nice, gotta hold on the the steering wheel in first gear when i step on it

no i wouldnt want my flywheel to warp...just wondering if there was a certain weight that would work best w/ a b18b1 on 8psi....just got off the phone w/ Zex, their chromoly flywheel=10lbs, they told me that 10 lbs is no big difference from 8 lbs or 9 lbs b/c being that the stock flywheel = about 20 lbs...its an improvement and 1 or 2 lbs is not gunna make that much a difference...since i know that he gets paid to make sales, i just wanted to know if you all thought the same....thanks
10lbs is good for street use. Going 8lbs would make driveability a little more difficult. You'll have to keep the revs up when shifting since a very lightweight flywheel decreases your revs faster. So when you're cruising down the road and let off the gas, it'll feel like ur on the brakes but ur not. If that makes sense
teh consequences of a lightened flywheel is that you will decelerate quicker but on the other hand, you will accelerate quicker. If you can drive a car well, it should be no problem. 10 lb is a good weight.
I have an 8 lb fidanza and I like it. The only thing I notice is that you have to change how you launch because it is easier to stall the engine with that light of a flywheel. I definetly rev faster, and you can really feel the difference. I have had mine for a year and a half now and I have no regrets at all with it.
