FMAX vs. another kit w/ hondata

What's up everybody, I'm kinda new here and I haven't said much but I'm getting ready to join the darkside and I have a decision to make so let's see if you guys can help me out...

I was going to buy the FMAX kit because I thought their fuel management setup was cool and super efficient, but based upon what I've been reading I'm starting to think otherwise. Soooooo, should I fork over the $3000 plus bones for the kit or should I go with a different kit and buy a hondata s200 or s100 with 440cc injectors? Also if I do this what kit should I buy... Drag? Maxrev? I drive a 4th gen VTEC prelude, does Revhard make one for my car? I couldn't find one. I don't think I have time to piece together a kit, I'm a full time student and I would rather just get the whole thing and go I'm going to go for probably less than 300 whp so nada too crazy. Also which hondata is better; s100 or s200?

Alright thanks for the help guys!

Matt

yeah, any kit's fuel management is not going to be anywhere near as a efficient in tuning, as a standalone such as Hondata. Lots of Prelude owners are very happy with their FMAX kits. You can sell off the parts form the kit you plan to ditch/replace. Something that may not seem vital, is the wastegate. It's a VERY good idea to go with Tial over Deltagate. Also, I'd go with 550 injectors if you plan to make 300 hp, so you won't have to uprade from smaller ones, if neccessary. For the tuning, you're on the right track with Hondata. With it, your turbo'd car will produce more, effiecient, reliable power.

good luck to you

Thanks for the input I really would like to pick up a kit for 2 g's to 2.5g's and buy the standalone computer, it seems a lot better.

I don't think the trr makes a kit for my car... any other suggestions??

go with that, get an inline pro headgasket so you can boost to 10-12psi,boost controller, turbo timer, and hondata s200

That is not an upgrade it's a downgrade, I don't know who started the idea the TIAL wastegate was better but they should be shot! It may be because it costs more which would of course make it better...scoff...what was I thinking??? If you want an upgrade...go with the Turbonetics Racegate
