fmax or what????
Im sure that everyone on this forum is tired of hearing about fmax but since the resent loss of information on superhonda the search forum comes up empty. So i am going to ask questions abou it. I have an 02 accord coupe 5 spd. I am coming into alot o money maybe and I want to do a turbo and do it so that my car will be extremely reliable and will never blow up. I just heard that the fmax is a good turbo that inlcudes everything you need to keep your reliablilty in your honda. I am also looking at getting an APEXI avc for the turbo. GIve me some informative feeback,,not "fmax sucks!" tell me why of why it is good
thanks

try looking at max rev. thier stuff is great, and the price can't be beat. the only thing i didnt like about it was the charge piping, but i ended up just ordering it from afterhourz. check out ks-motorsports.com. you can customize a kit for your set up.

Yes, definitly... Again, with the right tuning and set up...
Usually once you go over 400 HP you are getting away from begin easy to handle on the street... No flames, this is just a soft guideline. Unless he wants to drop $20,000 on building the car...
i'm sure it's not going to cost 20 g's to run a 400 hp car. If i was shooitin for 600 er somthin it would be pretty costly for tuning and everythin. Theres plenty of ppl that run 400 plus hp on regular budgets.
I said 400+ is about the highest you want to go unless you have the budget to build and keep the car streetable... 450+ you are looking at, full engine, tranny work, axels, breaks, tuning, fuel management and the turbo kit to hanlde it... That can easily get to $20,000 +/- to do it right...

Yes the T3/T04E that comes with the REV Hard kit is efficient up to 450HP. Also with your higher than average HP goals, I would suggest you go with Rev Hards Tubular Manifold option (I am 99% sure it is a no cost option when you buy the full kit)...
So if i could go with a hondata s200 and the revhard 2c kit I would be in good shape tuning wise? I mainly want easy tunability and good hp, for relatively cheap. I notice that alot of ppl run revhard kits and I havn't heard anything bad about them.

I have a FMax installed on my 01 Accord currently at 6Ibs of boost with 5000miles. I haven't had any problems since I installed it other then a o2sensor. The biggest thing is changing the oil. I change mine every 1500 using Mobile 1 Syntetic oil. Filling up on gas every other day kind of sucks but once you drive turbocharged 4cyl you'll never go back! Just remember that running turbocharges on stock bottom end wont last very long, 2years 3years...If you want to keep the car longer then that and run moore boost build the motor other then that you should be fine.
