some people would rather have a little bit of a more restrictive exhaust system rather than having your ears start bleeding.

dude take the dildo out of your ass, i have never been a ass on this site this was just an idea. I was joking. If you know what a exhaust cut out is is you would know thats its not a gimic, it actuall helps the turbo spool up a lot quicker.
i was just having a bad day, and i took it the wrong way.... after all you were saying "look at me, my exhaust is better than yours"
you could have explained a little bit more, than the fact that its better than a 3 inch.
and btw, i do know what a cutout is.
and i came across it on ebay once before.
its nothing new, the cutout has been around for years.
and sure it will spool up the turbo faster, but so will disconnecting your exhaust system from your downpipe.
a cutout is for people that do a lot of racing and need that little bit of a push..
and let me tell you, it won't improve a 3inch exahust system that much, especially a turbo thats running a reasonable amount of boost for street use.
the cutout is also dangerous in the way that if your exhaust ever puffed out a tiny little ball of flame or spark from running rich or whatever, and you had a fuel leak or it caught some oil on fire, it could be really dangerous.
the reason i said i thought it was an ebay gimic to me is because it is cheap, almost too good to be true, makes your car louder, and can be dangerous or harmfull to your car.

It just donent make it louder, the exhause dosent have to go through the cat the muffler, it helps a lot with back pressure, yes cut out is illegal but its better than no exhaust, this way you dont get caught, and i hope no one is stupid enough to put it near some kind of a fuel leak.

its a y looking peice of pipe you put before the cat and when you are racing pull the lever in you cab and it lets all the exhaust out into the air, it bypasses teh cat and the exhaust system, and when you want to drive quietly or around a cop pull the lever an it is factory system, really helps with a turbo system.
Thanks for the link, that particular one only went as wide as 2.25 inch, do you know if the other pipe (one that goes into cat) is shut off completely when you open the end that goes to atmosphere?

i got the one in the pic and it fit right on my 2.5 in pipe, and yeah ones you pull the lever the gases are shut about 95 percent to the stock system, and vise versa.

and its not just a leak that could start a fire....if you have some oil around your oil plug or whatever, and you let out enough to make a spark, thats all it'll take.
