got a problem!

I just put a turbo on my 98 ls and i'm running an open 2.5 inch downpipe. Now the primary o2 sensor is plugged in but i got rid of the other one with the cat. When i hooked up the scanner to the ecu the scanner said that i'm running lean because the o2 sensor doesnt show any readings it looks like its dead, do you think its not getting hot enough because its right on the end of the downpipe? cause its telling the ecu to richen the fuel mixture, so i'm probably running in limp mode. Do you guys think the o2 is dead or i just need to get an exhaust? So the sensor will reach the proper temp.

u cant just unplug your o2 sensor and expect your car to run right. why cant u just extend the wires and plug it into the downpipe. i dont really know to much bout obd2 but i heard there's some 02 simulator thing i think u can get. maybe someone more familiar with obd2 can shed some more light on that.

you can do whatever you want with the secondary o2 and it wont make a diff in driving . all it does is sense cat failure. the primary does everything else.

thanks itr206 finally someone with a good answer. I just unplugged the secondary o2 but i think its running in limp mode cause the primary doesnt show any voltage on the scanner. I just wasn't sure if both of the o2s work together when you unplug the secondary it would go in to limp mode.
