Whats happening guys? I've been doing some looking around and I'm having a hard time figuring out which kit I want for my 2000 Si. I can get the RevHard kit for 3000 and the Greddy kit for 3200 and the type 31 intercooler for 600 but I'm wondering which one is better. It's gonna be a daily driver that I just want to have a lil fun in. I'm gonna take it out to the track every once in a while but not all the time. I'll have about $5000 to mess around with but I'm planning on getting Hondata s100, custom exhaust, bov, turbo timer, boost controller, head gasket, block guard, and a few other things. I would like to get my car into the low 14's or high 13's but let me know any suggestions on which kit to go with. Thanx.
you would probably get the whole kit for $3400 or maybe even less
and you would not need to buy all that other bullshit
execpt for the custom exhaust and hondata
the kit comes with
t3/t4 turbo
wastegate
hks racing blow off valve
all pipe work
air filter
spearco intercooler
2 extra fuel injectors
erl mf2 (additional fuel injector controller)
exhaust manifold
(1 year against cracking)
down pipe
and you even get a choice of either the MSD BTM or rIDEAL head gasket (which lowers compression to avoid detonation and you can run full timing up to 13 psi without detionation)
i got the head gasket option
Mods: JDM ITR FE conversion. All-motor goodies. Hondata system.
Man, if you've got about 5k to spend...go with the Revhard kit cause it kicks ass! Then get a Hondata and have a blockguard put in by a machine shop (or someone who knows what they're doing) and get that sucker dyno tuned. That'll set you up just fine!
My kit is custom, but its comprised of mostly Revhard components (turbo, manifold, dp, and piping).
Revhard Stage 2 from Afterhourzracing.com That'll take care of you fine. Just get the Hondata and block guard, upgrade to the Tial wg, get a nice Turbo XS or GReddy Type S or HKS SSQ BOV, and APEXi turbo timer (cause they're small) and call it a day.
Oh yeah, but do a search too. The more info you have the better prepared you'll be.

99 Si-T: Ran a 13.87 @ 102.34mph. Full int, w a/c & p/s, on 17" street tires, and a full exhaust (no open downpipe) @ 6.5psi of boost. Check out my old Si-T
Totalled my All Motor GSR 10/1/05
Thanx for the help guys. It's still gonna be a toss up for which set up to go with but i think I'm leaning towards the RevHard. Either way when i get the Hondata I'm trailering it over to Payn Technologies over in Detroit to get the sucker tuned. Again, thanx for all the help and any more suggestions would be great.

so lets say you bought it $3400...spent
$1600...left over to play with
that's alot of extra shit you can have!
That is no great deal... and the head gasket and BTM are both unnecessary with a tuned Hondata setup. Why lose static compression for crappier off boost response? On a street car you don't want LOW compression for a turbo car, you want LOW compression on a drag strip only car : Any decent manifold won't crack, that warranty would only be good on like a DRAG or a Meng manifold which both suck. Hondata makes it so you can use larger injectors, so you don't need to run the extra injectors or the included fuel ECU in the FMAX kit. Basically, you don't want that kit. You can do much better with an upgraded RevHard or MaxRev kit, and it will cost less.

It's because you don't have a blow off valve, Greddy kit doesn't include one... You should get one ASAP to prevent further damage to your compressor from compressor surge(when you change gears under boost and your turbo pushes air against the closed throttle body, it causes excessive wear and tear on the turbo)
