Greddy D16Z6 kit on a D16Y8???

Uhm, ya.

I know people say that the Greddy 92-95 Civic turbo kits bolt right up to the later year D series motors (i.e. the Y8), but what I'm worried about is the blue box FCU that comes with the kit. On the Greddy website, they say they don't guarantee it will work on any engine other than the Z6, hence they don't condone use on anything other than a Z6. Now I don't wanna slap it in there only to have it not work properly.

Anybody know for sure that the blue box works on the Y8?

Anyone?

I know there are people out there with the Greddy kit on a 96+ Civic. Surely YOU must know.

Ditch the blue box and by a high flow fuel pump, missing link, Vortech FMU, and fuel pressure regulator.

Thing is, I only want to run stock 5.5 psi on the kit (reliability and engine longevity and all). I'd really rather not have to buy all that just for a bit of boost, hence my wondering if the blue box works correctly with the later engines.

Sorry, I wish I could help. I definitely wouldn't risk it until I found out for sure.

Doesn't Greddy make a kit for the Y8 that just came out? If not it should be out soon.
