had anyone blown their motors with a greddy turbo kit?

i am thinking about getting a greddy turbo kit for my jdm gsr motor but my car is going to be a daily driver. i know you can get a drag or a revhard and make it run reliably with great tuning but i want to get a greddy because many people have been saying that it is more reliable and it gives pretty good power gains. of course they are not as good as a drag or a revhard but i really want reliablity. so my question is have any of you guys ever blown your motor or know someone who has blown their motor running a greddy turbo? if there are many people blowing their motors i may pick to go with N/A. but i really want a turbo so that is why i am asking all of you experienced gurus.

even though the compression is a lil high on the JDM motors, the Greddy Kit is a moderate kit and does provide ample fuel for boosting 8lbs. YOu might only want to boost 5-6lbs with this kit because of your higher compression. Boosting 8 lbs with stock GSR compression is like boosting 5 with JDM higher compression. In my opinion, you shouldn't really worry about blowing your motor. If you have the right gauges, e.g. boost, EGT, and A/f, you should be on your way to happy boosting.
