help with D16Y8 turbo

my friend wants to turbo his 00' civic ex. He is going to buy a kit. Proablly with either a T25 or T3/T4 hybrid turbo. What else will he need that is not included in the kit.

kit includes

turbo
manifold
oil lines in and out
gaskets
all piping
intercooler
external wastegate

My main ? is about fuel managment. The people on turbod.com say to go with a AFC and DSM injectors. He will need the injectors, resistor box, and AFC and thats all correct?

With all the tuning options out there now, running the afc hack is so outdated. For less money you can run uberdata or chrome, and have a better running car that makes more power and be 10x's more reliable.

it is worth converting to obd1 to be able to have all the tuning options like chrome, uberdata, and so on. the hack advances timing where you should be pulling timing. dsm 450's are well worth the money

dsm 450's are well worth it, if you plan on running a t25 you will pretty much need them to get any more power, plus a better fuel pump, i blew the stock one out to see if it would work, then i put my walbro in there and i got it up to around 12-13psi.

obd is one way to go, but i have had the best from both worlds, VAFC-II works just fine on my 99 civic ex, but i have MSD BTM do my timing retard, its still running obd2b, and i cant hardly notice a difference one way or the other.
