help i think i got ripped off...

hey.. guys... i was wondering... i just got my turbo today... hooray... but anyhow... i was supposed to get a .48 ar turbo but on the turbo itself. its says .70 a/r. now does this mean i got a .70??? also how can i tell it its a t3/t4b or e??? i got the e but i want to make sure they did not rip me off. also. they made me a manifold... with an external 35mm wastgate flange... now the problem is... well i know its suppose to attach to my w/g. but don't my wastegate have to dump the waste out somewhere??? they gave me a down pipe but its clearly on the other side of the turbo. helpp... me... i dont know what to do... i thnk i just got... ripped off...

I'm not sure about the .70 a/r deal since I don't know much about turbo trims. Someone else may be able to help you out. As for the w/g, it will bolt onto the flange and the dumptube should be bolted to the w/g I believe. Check this picture out and you will see what I am talking about.

P.S. Who is doing this for you?

i am going to try to do it myself. well... so the dump tube does not need to be welded into the downpipe then??? it can just go down under the motor??? or do i have to take it to a shop to get it welded onto the downpipe?

You can either vent it to open air or get it connected to the downpipe. Venting it to open air will be loud I believe and to the downpipe will quiet it. If you're into the loud stuff, vent it to open air, if not...route it as far back as you can.

Well, it's your preference. I've heard that dumping to open air sounds like a pissed off lawn mower, but I'm not sure...I have an internal wastegate. Some people will say dumping to open air will make more power, some will say it doesn't if the reconnection point is at least a certain distance. Again, your preference.
