Hey Wiseguys, tell me about turbo AR and matching...

performance specs to AR and CFM. How do you get a good balanced performing turbo size. How precise do you need to be? There are a lot of optins out there. Are there some turbos that are more forgiving than others. I would hate to buy a turbo and bolt it in and then be disappointed because it lags or lacks topend.

Yeah, I just got a good deal on an ebay turbo, and all I know is it's a t3. The AR's have been polished off, and the kid doesn't even know what they are. I know NOTHING about a/r ratios and i'd love to know what they mean too!

I have Hugh Mcinnis' book on turbos and I think I'll go curl up with it and figger sumo' this out. It get complicated, what with turbomapping and all.

the bigger, the more potential flow, which equates into power served higher in the powerband. pretty much a question of when you'd like to see boost levels.
