I was wondering what a good BOV would be good with the greddy kit for the gsr. I haven't installed the BOV yet, and i see that the hks ssqv is more popular on the eclipse and wrx, but havent seen any on an integra. Is there any bov you recommend better than the HKS bov?
I see that all the time believe it or not. I prefer the Tial BOV and next to it is the GReddy TypeR. Bigger opening is better. Allows air to exit the charged side quicker.... IMO
spend 25 to 50 bucks on a dsm blow off valve and call it a day. Then when you reach 30 lbs of boost crush the fucker and your golden. The swooosh sound is nice and all but geez its a blow off valve and the stock dsm blowoff valve is pretty damn loud to begin with. just my 2 cents... if i was going to spend the money... hks ssqv, or greddy type r valve. bling bling
Mods: one time i tried to list them and i ran out of room...if you really want to know ask me.

all of your other points were very valid though.i've seen a 1g dsm bov hold 45 psi on a race motor w/o any signs of leaking.
if you vent to atmosphere it makes some noise (honda's are able to use it like this)...even installed recirc on a 2nd gen dsm with an intake you can hear it (not anywhere near one vented but still gives off some sound)

The GReddy Type R is not the BOV to get because it's designed for big boost levels, so get it if you are running more than 18psi. HKS & APEXI are nice. GReddy Type S and RS are good as well. It depends on the sound you want. Search the web for the sound files, they're out there.
I've been running the GReddy Type S for 3 years now and love it.
