Last week i bought the universal Hks Carbon Ti 75mm inlet/120mm tip and this bitch is huge. I was wonderin if anyone has put this exhaust on there turbo'd cars, and was wondering how does it sound? I bet its kinda loud. Does it have any ground clearance? This is on a 97 intega gs. I just want to see what i got myself in to. :byye

Especially on turbo cars, a muffler alone has very little to do with the sound of the exhaust. The turbo size, exhaust piping size, and quality of exhaust bends are going to play a much larger factor if sound is your top priority. Mufflers are kind of like intakes when you get down the the nitty-gritty. No matter how much you pay for it, it is a stainless steel pipe.
If you end up getting real serious into a turbo set up, you may end up cutting off your exhaust at the downpipe.
i was wondering what it may sound like. the turbo want be installed in my car intill a couple of months. so i guess i'll just find out when i put it on. thanks anyway man

Thats where your wrong. Every muffler does sound diff. Trust me. Ive switched up my setups enuff times to know.
Alot of the Supra guys run the HKS TI. I never heard one that I can remember though.
U sure its an Authentic HKS?

i hope so! i got the exhaust muffler off of Optionsauto.com for 350 shipped so i hope its real. the weilds look awesome and the carbonfiber is real so i believe it is true HKS. But i am not goin to put it on till i go turbo because the 3in pipein. I don't have enough air flow for 3in yet. i probably will suck ass in low end power but might gain in high end. so i am just goin to wait

I've seen just the mufflers for sale. I was gonna get the Hks Hi-Po muffler and just get a local to fabricate the piping. I was like you not sure if it would work right. I ended up not getting it cause I have an LS, not sure if I want to go (afford) turbo or NA. If you get the muffler and piping in let me know how it sounds/performs?

holy shit, $350 for a muffler? That's too much for me. I would've just bought the Vibrant 3 inch flat black muffler for like $100..... that's just me tho. I'm sure it will be okay sounding.....
