hondata??

yo, im looking into getting a hondata for the drag kit im supposed to be getting, i want to know if any of u guys are using it and do u like it. the one im supposed to get is the stage 3 with the boost option....what else would i need if i buy the hondata to make it work properly, my car is a 96 gsr.....im only going to be boosting like 7psi daily, but im hoping this would make it extra safe and im getting it now so i won't have to worry about getting other fuel related things later, i also have an msd sci...can that be used with Hondata??

Well first off what are your goals for the car ?? Yeah the SCI is a good unit. No you don't really need anything to use hondata except to get it tuned. There are other things that you should get like aftermarket plugs and wires. Magnacore and Zex turbo plug are good or stock two staged colder. I'm sure someone will post the part # up for ya... There is a bunch of stuff that would benifit you. Like exhaust, 190 or 255lpm fuel pump, aftermarket suspention, upgraded brakes.

Yes, you should use either Zex turbo plugs or the Stock NGK non platnium plugs two heat ranges colder.

No - i disagree. The stock honda ignition is excellent and can easily support up to 300whp. This includes the stock internal coil and wires.

If you raise your compression or run mild boost levels (1-18psi or so) then you only need to get ONE DEGREE colder plugs. I recommend the NGK BKR7E-11. They are a 7 heat range. If you lower the heat range too far, you will have idling and cold start problems.

Dr Drew,

Do you know if NGK Iridium plugs have the same problems as Platinum ones?
