the racing formula octane booster from nos is the shit, i use some every day and no more pingning prob at high boost(15-18 psi)
but if you boost higher then 18 psi i recommend race gaz

how much gas was in the tank, and how much of the bottle did you use?
Originally posted by SoFlaGS-T have you ever heard of xylene or toulene... i heard if you mix it with gas, you can end up with about a 105-110 octane.... ill get more info on it
this is a one time thing, i will probably only do two passes on the quarter so i dont need a lifetime supply of octane booster...
i have already purchased the octane booster im gonna use, and i would have no time to mess around at paint stores just for some octane when i have to work tonite, and i leave for the drags directly after it, so all i wanna know is how much of the bottle should i use for how much gas.....and b18c5 turbo explained that quite well.
Originally posted by SoFlaGS-T with xylene, you put in 1 gallon to 4 gallons of gas... thats all you need to do... you can pick that stuff up at a paint store
but why do cars like a saab 93 viggen that runs 23psi of boost only needs premium and the old turbo eclipse ran 14psi(i think) and only needed 89(or premium) and a turbo honda needs very high octane
eclipses actually need premium... every turbo car needs premium... although turbo hondas need nihger octane for higher psi in order to prevent detonation just like in every other car when boost is raised...
