ok, lets try this again. I have a turbo b-16 obd-1 converted CRX. I'm getting a code for the IAT. I replaced the sensor with a brand new one, and did the wiring checks that are in the service manual. It checks good. I know you can check the voltage as the engine heats up and it changes. The manual doesn't tell you how to do that. I get this code as soon as I turn the key, I don't even have to start the engine, just turn it to acc. The car seems to have lost performance and has a slight stutter if you get on it. What the hell else would trip this code besides the sensor or faulty wiring. I do all the work myself on this car, so feel free to ask me questions. I know every nut and bolt personally. The car has been running perfectly for at least 6 months before this. I also recently had to change the ignitor, probably no way related to this problem.
did you reset the ecu after changing the sensor to make sure the code cleared? pull the 10a fuse in the engine bay(i think)

Yes, I reset it. The code started out only comming on every couple days during normal driving. I would reset it, and it would go away for a couple days and come back. Now its always there, you can clear it, but it will come right back. This is driving me crazy. One of my friends suggested the MAP sensor, could this be related?
green with a white stripe, and red with a yellow stripe (possibly a white stripe.) I peeled off all the old tape and shit and inspected the wires the whole way into the main harness. They look perfect. Its a 90 JDM obd0 integra XSi motor.
the map sensor measure different units (pressure, vaccuum) than the IAT but i guess it could happen..mMm well wut if the code is for the air temp being too hot??..i dont think it could be too cold...
if it is too hot then it might be in your turbo setup..
--would explain in the loss of performance as well..
but what i dont get is how you get the code even before the car is running..to me it seems like that would be related to wiring
but i dont know though thats weird if the numbers were the same as the specs it would set a code

Reason: details
I have a big intercooler. I can't see the temp being too hot. It still boosts, so it doesn't have any leaks. Plus the code is there as soon as you turn the key. Before you even start the engine.
