Ignition Timing for Boost

Hi all I did research but could't find anything specific for how much ignition retarding is needed for what level of boost. I plan on running stock ignition for 6 psi on a b18B, and was wondering if it ok. And what about 8 or 10 psi. When will stock timing need to be retarded? Thanks.

for perfect tuning, timing must be retarded per every pound of boost..
but typically timing controllers are not required until after 6psi and around there.
its best to dyno tune and increase the retarding per pound and see what gives you more hp.

I see, thanks. So I'm ok at 6 psi. I heard 9 psi will be ok too with stock timing but not after 9, is this true? I actually should't worry about that for now since I only intend on running 6, but 9 in the near future. Thanks for info.

If you are running standard compression anything over 6psi you should get on a dyno and make sure, high compression and boost you need good tuning.
