one way to do it is to change you gear ratios, either final drive or fifth gear. I've heard of people swaping out thier fifth gear for a lower ratio one. But they usually do it for fuel economy as it will probably mess up your shift points and put you out of your powerband. Changing your final drive ratio will allow you a higher top speed but will take away some of your car's punch.
Another way to do it is to increase your redline. This is probably the easiest way to do it as long as you don't have a type R engine. Seeing as how Hondas make most of its power towards the top end this is probably the best solution as you need as much power as possible to combat wind resistance.

I agree with the first part you said, but the second, NO. If you JUST increase your redline, its worthless, because your powerband falls off. Your just going to creat even more heat. Maybe if you added a different set of cams, it would increase HP, but if not,,,its just worthless...

I meant safely increasing your redling, eg forged pistons, etc. Not just removing or lift the redline. Guess I should have explained that better. People have told me I could safely raise the redline of my D16Y8 600-800 rpm, but I think that's bs. Honda doesn't seem to be afraid of high redlines and if it wouldn't affect the engine life it probably would have come from the factory like that.

Ya I have to agree unless you got a functional spoiler and a huge brake system. I had my EX up to 120mph (190km/h) and it felt like it was floating. I decided to see how fast I could stop if something went wrong and with the brake almost all the way to the floor it still didn't make a huge difference compared to coasting against the wind. I haven't done it since for those reasons.
bigger tires. thats one way. your ride will look hoopty, be slower at the start, but in the end it will go faster. it will also screw up ur speedometer.
the best possible thing to do is to either change out your tranny (common with integra or other B series motor owners, they switch from b16 or b18c engine to a b18b [LS motor] tranny) or to rebuild it.... you could even get one of those custom speed ones from kaaz. You could keep the same gear ratio as you do now so you could be in 5th gear on the freeway and use 6 for goin fast or for long trips, or you could just mess around with a custom gear ratio thing... don't make it to crazy though, or else you'll be downshifting and upshifting at inconvenient times.
