intercooler????

thanx too all of you guys. so let me give this a shot. correct me if im wrong. if i was too run 7-9 psi on a drag intercooler for a b16 i would draw more heat than if was too run a bigger intercooler, something like a hks for a toyota supra. in otherwords , would an intercooler be sorta like getting a short ram intake or a cai. both have there pros and cons??? all info is appreciated. keep it coming dudes, i think im sorta seeing the light. thanx

the larger the intercooler the more surface area which = more heat transfer.It's basically a radiator but for air.larger radiators are better at cooling because of material that they are made out of and the surface area...the more surface the better the cooling.Radiators are water (coolant) to air and intercoolers are air to air.unless you get an air to water intercooler but thats another subject (same theory as a radiator but opposite)....so yeah a large supra intercooler would cool the air more effeciently then a small greddy intercooler for a civic......

thank man. so are you sayin i should go with a nice size intercooler too stay cool as much as i can????

Depends on the amount of boost you decide to run...low boost a medium sized intercooler will work just fine.....if you go to big you will have to much pressure drop...

ok so let me get it straight, would a 24x5x2 intercooler work fine for running 7-10 lbs on my b16 ???
