Internal to External Wastegate

i was wondering how i would go about changing my internally wastegated t3 to and externally wastegated t3. using common sense, could i just buy a tial 38mm(or any other ext. gate), bolt it up, and swap the vacuum lines?

you gotta plug the WG port on the turbo and mount the WG somehow to the manifold . IE cutting , welding ect
Prob have to weld the Flapper shut.
Its gonna be more work then you might be expecting

the deemed POS manifold i have (SSAutoChrome) has a wastegate flange on it, it is currently bolted shut. i had plans to go to external when i upgraded turbos/manifold. but then when i thought i realized an easy way to do it, i thought i'd be able to. i was looking for an easy way to run 9-10 psi, i was just going to run a 9psi spring.

i'm using a profec b spec 2, but it is a real p.i.t.a. i can never get a steady boost out of it.

you can try to put an external on the manifold but from what i've seen those things are not all that and if you add some extra weight to it with the external then who knows whats going to happen.
but just like itr206 said....weld the flapper shut, remove the actuator for the flapper and move the vacuum line from that to the external gate.

the ssautochrome problems that i have heard of were on ext. wastegate setups.
