JDM B18C turbo

I've been thoroughly confused now about my latest project. I just about ordered my new engine swap: JDM B18C w/ everything (so it appeared). Initially, I was leaning towards a Vortech but that isn't overly popular on Superhonda.com for various reasons. So now, turbo is my FI of choice. The question becomes, does it make it more difficult to turbo the JDM engines or is this not a concern? Secondly, what kit would be a wise choice for such a swap (if available) or should a custom system be made? I really need to get my shit together so I can make some sort of informed decision because now I don't even want to get the engine swap (too many choices!!!). Thanks guys/gals.

What car is that swap going into?If you got a revhard or drag kit i think that ypou would be pretty happy.Putting a turbo on a jdm engine is just like a usdm engine with the only real difference being the compression ratio.Usually jdm engine run .2 compression more then the usdm counter parts.

jdm engines arent really choice engines to turbo... an ls engine would be a lot better.. these engines are pretty much for all motor in my opinion... another thing that could mess things up for the turbo is the relatively high compression ratios which come with these jdm engines... you should look into a different engine if you wanna go turbo... my only power adder would be nitrous if i got a jdm engine, besides the obvious upgrades...

10.4:1 vs 10.2:1 compression ratio is not a big deal at all.For the price difference between a usdm and jdm engine you could get a thicker head gasket that will drop the cr down to 9.8:1 and still have plenty of money left over. The only engine that i would not turbo is the b18c5.
See sig.

Depends what car as to how much room you've got. But here we have a 360kw at the wheels b18c integra. Forged internals though, does low 10s.
