Liquid to Air Intercooler

Hey guys, I have a question, I've been doing some research and I know that Liquid to Air intercoolers are better for cooler temperature and less pressure drop then a front mount, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these and let me know how it works. I somewhat get the concept but don't fully understand it, can someone help me out? Also can the lta intercooler be used without water?

They are for racing not a daily driver and its alot of parts to them. The pump, lines, water tank, cooler and wiring. And I heard they leak after time

^ the routing of liquid to air lines is different than an air to air intercooler lines because then the water must be cooled as well and this can get somewhat complicated

L2a should really on be used in racing applications or motors where there is no room for an a2a, like mr2s

a l2a intercooler w/o water is an extremely bad idea...(it would defeat the whole purpose of LIQUID) and using anything other than water may not work, but im not totally sure like using coolant, which is more viscous than water

some racers use ice but again they are racing

it's like a v-mount setup not good for a daily driver. jsut get a regular one. and from the looks of things you aren't making enough power to warrant getting one

Yeah, thanks guys, I figured that a front mount is better, I was planning for an fmic but don't really know which kit to go with, oh, this is for my 91 integ ls. Would anyone know if a prelude fmic would fit onto it? A little cutting is ok with me. It looks like it would fit better than the 94+ integ fmic, thanks.
