Unhappy LS turbo vs Type R help!!

I have a turbo "97 integra LS" currently boosting 11lbs. Question is, everytime i race my buddys "integra type R" were about even, he gets me i get him. cmon now i'm boosting 11lbs i should be smoking the hell outta him he only has intake and exhaust!! I consider myself an above average driver he's also the same. i tried drag racing at a stop and rolling start in second gear with him i can't seem to leave him. what seems to be the problem? here's my setup:

- turbonetics t3/t04B turbo S-trim
- Revhard Exhaust manifold
- tial 35mm wastegate w/4lbs. spring
- hks SSBOV
- 460cc nippon denso injectors leaned out -32% on Super AFC
- Apexi AVCR boost controller set at 11lbs. on the external wastegate
- JG Edelbrock Victor X manifold
- b18b stock motor!!
- drag front mount intercooler
- vortech FMU 10:1 ratio

whats your suggestions? do you guys have the same problem against Type R's? or you eat em for breakfast? what boost on an LS am i suppose to get him based on your expierience? thank you!! :

I ran 15.4, 91 MPH at the track with 9lbs. of boost with 100
octane race gas. The only reason I'm running on 460cc injetors
because I want to crank up the boost in the future. Also Im running on stock 15 inch rims and tires. What are advantages taking my car to the dyno, would it make a difference on my powerband and need some serious tuning on it, is it worth it?
or a waste of time?

those times are shit thats prob why , its prob your driving then your tuning.if its not tuned you prob making the same hp as the R , but the R has better gearing.3rd gear will get you everytime with an R.

my R was running 14.5's stock, 14.1-14.0 with intake , ex, and clutch and then 13.6's on slicks with a few more mods. they arent your reg Integra.

Something definitely aint right............with that setup u should walk that R. I know guys with junkyard setups that r doing way better times than u did. U really dont need an fmu while using those injectors and the afc setup. U must be running hella rich!
You need to ditch the fmu and get ur car tuned......u would be surprised to see how much power you can make at the same boost level after tuning.

Yeah man I don;t think it's safe to be running boost like that untuned...

So go to a dyno and get it tuned ASAP!

i think you got the point already.....

You're running way too rich. Get your car dyno tuned. I'd say dump that damn FMU and just use the hack. However, what's even better would be to sell the FMU, sell the VAFC, save a little money, and then buy a base Hondata w/boost (about 495). Then dyno tune that! You'll kill him every time.

I wouldn't be suprised if you were running about 9:1 a/f ratio with all that fuel you're dumping in. That sucker needs to be leaned out a lot...and leaned out a lot in the right places too.

Do you have a A/F gauge? If not pick one up. Your A/F should cycle. If it doesn't you may have a bad O2 sensor, wiring, or ECU. What is your fuel pressure at the rail? If you have a adjustable pressure regulator try cranking it down if its too high. Do you pump black smoke out of your exhaust at idle? or WOT? Do you plugs foul out regularly? Do a compression test and check the timing. How much vacuum do you have at idle? Does it ever ping or detonate?

With your turbo setup and you should own ITR's all day long. With a 91mph trap speed it shows me your not making Hp, probally only 150-155whp at the most. Don't race your car if it doesn't seem right, you don't want to go looking for a new head, block, etc.

i suggest getting an EGT gauge. much better device than the xmass tree lights on the a/f ratio gauge. i mean you can have both but i would put my money on the egt gauge.
